Ten Trade Exhibition Awards

Ten large Swansea Baker & Confectioner Diplomas [lithographs on rag wove paper] were in fragile condition with thick surface dirt. Previous rolled storage had resulted in widespread distortion, tears and losses. Each item was surface cleaned and repaired using Japanese tissue and wheat starch. Prolonged humidity and pressing was used to reduce distortions. In preparation for storage at West Glamorgan Archives each certificate was given a polyester sleeve with an archival-grade rigid support.
