Holy Trinity Church
Pontargothi, Carmarthenshire

The interior of Holy Trinity Church contains an extensive scheme of 19th Century murals and painted decoration, and is an important example of church design from this period.
The nave has a wooden barrel vault with decorated tie beams, and a very ornate chancel.

The conservation of the interior involved the cleaning of all the painted surfaces and consolidation in some areas. Restoration which was carried out in the 1980’s was also removed and reconstructed.
